FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s annual holiday event, IllumiNature, is set to start this weekend. According to the zoo's website, the event allows families to experience the zoo in a new light with hundreds of uniquely designed, handmade, and interactive lanterns glowing throughout the zoo. The event is set to kick off on Saturday, Nov. 23, and will run on various dates until early February. The full list of IllumiNature dates include: Nov. 23, 24 Nov. 26, 27 Nov. 29, 30 Dec. 1 Dec. 5-8 Dec. 12-15 Dec. 19-23 Dec. 26-30 Jan. 2-5 Jan. 10-11 Jan. 17-18 Jan. 24 Jan. 31 Feb. 1 Tickets for the November and December dates for non-member Adults are $24, $22 for member adults, and $18 per child. Entry times for the event are at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. New to the event this year, families will be able to rent out their own 'igloo'. Each igloo will accommodate up to six guests and includes one small charcuterie board to share along with one drink ticket per person.
