Police find 10K pounds of psilocybin mushrooms in Petaluma warehouse

(KRON) -- Santa Rosa police discovered an illegal growhouse in Petaluma with 10,000 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, it announced Monday. Two suspected drug dealers were arrested in connection with the investigation.
The Santa Rosa Police Department began investigating the suspects in October for allegedly cultivating and selling the psychedelic mushrooms.

One suspect, 38-year-old Santa Rosa man Travis Troxell, was arrested Monday in his car in Petaluma. He was carrying ammunition, a taser, bear mace and about $5,200 cash.
The other suspect, 26-year-old Jose Reyes of Santa Rosa, was arrested on the 2800 block of Apache Street in Santa Rosa.
Police served two search warrants on the 3600 block of Arizona Drive and the 2600 block of Comanche Street. They found several different models of guns, MDMA (molly), $14,000 in cash, four pounds of mushrooms and 80 tabs of LSD.
SRPD then went to the 1300 block of Ross Street in Petaluma to serve a search warrant at warehouses. Troxell had the keys to the location. They found "a large psilocybin mushroom cultivation operation" inside and seized the large quantity of mushrooms.
Both suspects were arrested for possession and cultivation of a controlled substance. Reyes also received a count of possession of an assault weapon.
