Monday afternoon, I was invited to speak at the 2024 Kansas Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Summit at the Wichita Marriott. We had a packed crowd with folks from all across the state.
My presentation was on our weather history here in Kansas and the importance of cooperation between weather and preparedness partners. I touched on notable tornadoes in our past and the lessons we learned from them. We also took a look at how technology has been shaped here in Kansas and improved weather warnings. We also took a glance at where technology will soon take us in meteorology.
I had a chance to speak one-on-one with many in attendance after the presentation, including Gove and Rawlins counties along with others from near Pittsburg.
Thank you, for the invitation to speak at this year's summit!
