CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- It was an unexpected delivery at a U.S. post office in Caroline County when a car went crashing into it. Officials are working to get the building patched up.  Luckily, no one was hurt after a car drove two feet into the Bowling Green U.S. Post Office at 117 Milford Street, putting a hole in the brick wall. "Someone went through the post office trying to make it a drive-thru," said Randy Hageman, store manager of the nearby A&M Home Center. Fire-EMS Chief Jason Loftus told 8News that the driver was “confused” about whether or not they were in drive or reverse.  "She thought she had put it in reverse and it was actually in drive," Hageman said. "And she pushed on the gas and away she went."  The post office is closed while the county’s building official assesses the damage and determines next steps.  Crews are working to get the hole patched up as quickly as possible, most likely with plywood.
