PINE LAKE, Wis. (WFRV) - One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 17 in Oneida County on Monday afternoon. According to a release, the crash occurred on Nov. 18, 2024, shortly before 1:15 p.m., just south of the intersection of Mud Lake Road. Minivan fire in Wisconsin quickly extinguished; no injuries reported Authorities reported that the crash appeared to be a head-on collision. The driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the northbound vehicle was injured and flown to a nearby hospital for treatment. A preliminary investigation indicates that the northbound driver collided with the southbound vehicle, which had reportedly crossed over the centerline. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
