CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A Charleston carriage company is offering free rides to those who donate toys to children in need for one day in December. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 1, stop by the big red barn at 8 Guignard Street and drop off an unwrapped toy. Each gift equals one free ticket, and all toys donated go directly to the Toys for Tots program. After donating, you can enjoy a free horse-drawn carriage ride through the streets of downtown Charleston. Each ride is about an hour long. If you need additional information, call 843-938-0680.  Toys for Tots is a national program run by the US Marine Corps that distributes toys and Christmas gifts to families in need.
