Pedestrian killed in Madera; driver was a minor, police say

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a minor driver Monday morning in Madera, the Madera Police Department said.
Offices say they were called to the 1800 block of West Cleveland Avenue around 6:30 a.m. about a traffic collision involving a male pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Officers arrived on the scene and found the driver - along with an unidentified male lying on the ground. Officers say the the male was rushed to Valley Children's Hospital where he died.
The identity of the dead person has yet to be officially released. The Madera Police Department confirmed that the driver involved was a minor.
