SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- At least one person has died in a crash Monday afternoon on State Route 52 near the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego, according to authorities. The California Highway Patrol traffic incident information page showed the crash happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the area of eastbound SR-52 and Regents Road. Both northbound and southbound lanes of Regents Road have been closed due to the incident. SigAlert shows traffic backed up west toward Interstate 5. Drivers are being told to expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Multiple road closures have been reported as authorities respond to the crash. As of 3:38 p.m., the ramp from northbound Interstate 5 to eastbound SR-52 has been closed, according to CHP. The eastbound La Jolla Parkway on-ramp to eastbound SR-52 has also been closed to traffic.
