BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A new traffic pattern is now in place at the intersection of Bridge Boulevard and Isleta Boulevard. The changes are due to the Bridge Boulevard Phase 2 Reconstruction Project in Albuquerque's South Valley, according to Bernalillo County.
As part of the new pattern, Bridge Boulevard westbound will have a through lane in each direction. Southbound turns onto Isleta Boulevard are also allowed.

The westbound lanes of Bridge Boulevard will now transition through the intersection, allowing two-way traffic on the eastbound lanes of Bridge Boulevard from Isleta Boulevard to Young Avenue.
Starting Monday, Bridge Boulevard will be closed from Isleta Boulevard to Young Avenue for about one week. Once the work is done, the westbound lanes of Bridge Boulevard will reopen, and all westbound traffic will be shifted onto the new lanes. All businesses will remain open for business and accessible during construction.
Phase 2 of the Bridge Boulevard Reconstruction Project includes a full roadway section including new asphalt resurfacing, new ADA-compliant sidewalk and wheelchair-accessible ramps, new lighting for pedestrians and motorists, new buffered bike lanes, a new storm drain system, new curb and gutter, a new ITS system, new traffic signals with an adaptive traffic system, new pavement markings, and new signs.
