On November 10, Tipton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies say they responded to the 1500 block of Charleston Gift Road regarding an assault call after an argument sparked between the victim and his girlfriend.
The victim stated he left his home to avoid further violence, however; the girlfriend's relatives followed him to another location. That is where the relatives, later identified as Lucius Mason and Terrence Mason pulled out a gun and started shooting at him, reports state.
The victim crashed his car while attempting to leave the scene and avoid being shot, deputies say.
While detectives responded to the multiple crime scenes, they spoke with Terrence who they say was uncooperative during his interview. Terrence was taken into custody during that time, but detectives were still unable to find Lucius.

On November 11, deputies say they were called to an additional assault complaint on Charleston Mason Road where Lucius had attempted to shoot the victim again.
According to reports, Lucius walked up to the victim, pulled out a gun, and began shooting at him. This time, the victim was able to return fire and flee the scene, deputies say.
When detectives made it to the scene, they talked to witnesses and contacted the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office where they were able to find Lucius and take him into custody.
Detectives say while Lucius was in jail, he continued his "violent behavior" by attacking a Sheriff’s Office Correctional staff member.
Lucius and Terrence are both scheduled to face a judge on December 10.
