Woman killed in police shooting wanted in Ohio
(WISH) — A woman who died in an Indiana State Police shooting near Frankfort, Indiana, on Monday morning had been wanted for a deadly shooting earlier in the morning near Cincinnati.
The Springfield Township, Ohio, police chief identified the woman shot dead in Indiana as Terea Brown, 42. The chief believes Brown killed Lacresha Black, 33, who was found dead after 7 a.m. Monday outside the front door of her Springfield Township home. Investigators say Brown fled the scene in a dark-colored 2014 Chevrolet Cruze.
Indiana State Police have yet to identify the woman fatally shot in Clinton County near Frankfort.
A spokesperson with the Indiana State Police told News 8 that the shooting stemmed from a traffic stop turned chase that ended near the BP gas station and Get Go convenience store at the State Road 28 exit.
Indiana State Police say shots came from the woman’s car and at least one officer returned fire. She died at the scene. Sgt. John Perrine with Indiana police told News 8 that no officers were injured.
