Interim CEO named for Downtown Partnership
Nov 18, 2024
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The nonprofit organization helping downtown Colorado Springs serve as the economic, cultural, and civic heart has announced an interim CEO to replace Susan Edmondson.
On Oct. 25, Edmondson resigned as CEO citing health reasons. A committee was formed to ensure ongoing support of projects and staff during the transition. On Monday, Nov. 18 the Downtown Partnership named Hannah Parsons as the interim CEO.
Parsons joins the partnership from her role as the COO of Barn Owl Tech where she has served since 2019. She had also co-founded and served as CEO of Exponential Impact and was the Chief Economic/Community Development Officer at the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, among other roles.
“Hannah is absolutely the right person for the job at this critical time,” said Jen Furda, Chair of the Downtown Partnership Board. “We have several exciting projects underway including the update to the Downtown Master Plan. Hannah’s experience, expertise, and dedication to our community will be instrumental to continuing that work as we conduct the search for the permanent CEO.”
Parsons previously served as interim CEO before the hiring of Edmondson in early 2013
