Police asking public for help in finding homicide suspect

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — UCCS sent an email to faculty and students providing resources for those on campus who may be affected by the homicide of Professor Abghari.
"The identity of a suspect was announced in the death of our dear friend, colleague, and profesor, Haleh Abghari. Grieving is not a linear process and it is not uncommon for news like this to bring such profound tragedy back to the surface," read the email from Dr. Glen Whitehead, the Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at UCCS.
The university provided resources for staff, faculty, and students who may need support in light of the identification of a possible suspect in Abghari's death:

The Gallogly Recreation and Wellness Center--You can access confidential mental health and physical health services. The mental health services include individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, crisis/emergency interventions and consultation sessions for UCCS students. You can access these services here.
TELUS Health Student Support app is a free, confidential mental health and wellbeing support service. Students have access to mental health services 24/7 via telephone or chat. Students can also have counseling appointments for short-term support via telephone or video. You can access the app here.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is asking for the public's assistance in finding a suspect related to the homicide of a University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) professor that occurred back in August.
According to CSPD, on Aug. 7 at around 7 a.m., police got an unknown call for service in the 6400 block of Caddy Point, near North Carefree Circle and Peterson Road. When police arrived, they found a woman dead with at least one stab wound.

On Aug. 12, the El Paso County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy and identified the woman as 54-year-old Haleh Abghari. While the coroner's office will determine the cause and manner of death, police are investigating the death as a homicide.

During CSPD's investigation, detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of a suspect identified as 53-year-old Ceasar Lorenzo Wilson. Police are looking for Wilson and an arrest warrant for second-degree has been issued.
