CHARLOTTE, N.C. – According to a new study by travel guide LocalsInsider.com, Charlotte Douglas International ranks among the top 10 best airports in the nation for holiday travel. The study analyzed flight departure data during the holiday season from the 50 busiest airports in the U.S. and found that 84.6% of flights at Charlotte Douglas International were on-time last holiday season, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. This is an improvement from 2022 when only 77.5% of flights departed on-time at Charlotte Douglas International. Compare those stats with the nation’s worst airport during the holidays, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, where 29.2% of holiday flights faced cancellations or delays.
