SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — A 26-year-old Summerville man was arrested earlier this month for 19 charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Iain Douglas Carder was arrested by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office on Nov. 8.
Carder is charged with seven counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, seven counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the South Carolina Attorney General's Office.
Investigators said Carder engaged in criminal sexual conduct with a minor. He also manufactured and had child sexual abuse materials, state Attorney General Alan Wilson said.
The Attorney General's Office will prosecute this case.
