Fire at apartment building in Buffalo causes estimated $1M in damage

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A fire that occurred around noon Monday caused an estimated total of $1,050,000 in damage to an apartment building in Buffalo, a city official announced.
Fire crews responded to a reported fire at the Pine Harbor Apartments located at 10 Seventh St. Officials said the fire started in an apartment on the seventh floor and extended to the roof, causing estimated damages of $800,000 to the building and $250,000 to its contents.
Two members of the Buffalo Fire Department are being evaluated for injuries, but the nature of the injuries are currently unknown, officials said. The Red Cross is providing assistance to displaced residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
