Police have arrested a man who they say intentionally showed young children on the Santa Monica pier nude photographs of himself.
Benjamin Bush, 46, was arrested late October following an "intensive investigation by detectives," according to a news release from the Santa Monica Police Department.

Bush is a resident of Rosamond in Kern County and works as a registered nurse at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
Benjamin Bush, 46, of Rosamond is shown in this undated mugshot provided by the Santa Monica Police Department.
On the evening of Sept. 18, Bush allegedly showed a nude photograph of himself to three 9-year-old children outside of Pacific Park on the Santa Monica pier. He was also seen showing the same image to another child inside the nearby arcade.
Santa Monica police began investigating the incident and were able to identify Bush as the alleged suspect weeks later.
He's since been arrested and faces charges for child annoyance and distributing harmful material to a minor.

Bush has no prior criminal record, police said, and jail records indicate he was cited and released and given a January court date.
The investigation remains ongoing and police are asking the public for help identifying any additional incidents. Anyone with information is urged to email SMPD detectives Sean Baker or David Haro, or contact the Watch Commander at any time at 310-458-8427.
In a statement provided to KTLA Thursday evening, CDCR officials said Bush, who had been working at the prison since January 2020, has been on administrative leave since his arrest in October.
"CDCR resolutely condemns any staff member who violates their oath and shatters the trust of the public," a spokesperson said.
