BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The annual Teddy Bear Toss is less than two weeks away. The toss will happen on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. as the Condors face-off against the Ontario Reign. Every year fans throw thousands of teddy bears and other stuffed animals onto the ice when the Condors score their first goal at Mechanics Bank Arena. The stuffed animals are collected and donated to the United Way for children in need. Kern Fire Council conducting survey for Borel Fire Survivors Organizers say the Teddy Bear Toss has always been the biggest night of the year. Close to 9,000 fans showed up for the sold out event last year and tossed a whopping 6,771 stuffed animals onto the ice breaking a record.
