Woman killed in Barrington domestic shooting is identified

A woman who was killed in a domestic shooting Sunday evening in northwest suburban Barrington has been identified. Around 5:40 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Russell Street and found Olga Duchon, 42, shot, Barrington police said. Duchon, of Vernon Hills, was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital where she died, police said. An autopsy Monday determined Duchon died of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Lake County coroner's office.The shooting stemmed from a domestic incident between family members, and there was no active threat to the public, police said.Detectives continue to investigate. No arrests have been announced.
