NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - North Charleston officers will participate in the 'Cops on the Coop' fundraiser to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics South Carolina. The North Charleston Police Department says they will collect donations on Friday, Nov 22 at the Chic-fil-A at 8455 Dorchester Road starting at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Officials say all donations benefit the over 30,000 Special Olympics athletes in South Carolina. Donors of $20 or more will receive a t-shirt or hat.
