BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The 2024 SWAC Football Championship game will be played at Jackson State on Saturday, Dec. 7. The Jackson State Tigers will take on the Southern University Jaguars at 1 p.m. in Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2. Southern has a record of 7-4 overall and 6-1 in the conference. The team defeated Arkansas Pine Bluff in their most recent game, 31-9. Jackson State is 9-2 overall and has not lost a game in conference. The Tigers handed Southern their only conference loss earlier this season. They defeated Alabama State, 16-10, in their last game to earn the right to host the championship game. This will be the second time in the last three seasons that these two teams have matched up in a title game, according to SWAC.
