The high-profile bill includes a show on Aug. 13 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Featuring Kylie Cantrall, Freya Skye, Malia Baker, Malachi Barton, Dara Reneé, Joshua Colley and Mekonnen Knife, the arena tour celebrates the high-energy music from Disney’s “Descendants” and “Zombies” franchises. However, the creative blues-based alt-rocker returned this summer with his most cohesive rock album to date, “No Name,” which recently received a Best Rock Album Grammy Award nomination. The Detroit native is touring with a Cleveland date added for April 16 at the Agora Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 22. Exactly 30 years after Meshell Ndegeocello scored her biggest hit, the duet cover with John Mellencamp of Van Morrison’s “Wild Night,” the singer-songwriter is still going strong supporting her latest album “No More Water: The Gospel of James Baldwin” with a show Jan. 22 at the Agora Theatre. After appearing at the House of Blues last year, rising country-folk artist Charles Wesley Godwin returns to the Rock Hall City for a show show on Feb. 6 at the Agora Theatre. San Diego-based reggae act Tribal Seeds, touring in support of its fifth studio album, “Ancient Blood,” has booked a show on March 1 show at the Agora Theatre. Surviving motherhood is hard. Northeast Ohio’s own rock ’n’ roll visionary Neil Zaza announced his Mozart-meets-Hendrix Christmas show “One Silent Night” returns for a show Dec. 21 at the Goodyear Theater in Akron. Canceled for harassment and mistreatment, Ryan Adams continues to make his way back into the good graces of society with yet another tour. “An Evening With Ryan Adams” is scheduled for June 25 at Akron’s Goodyear Theater. Comedian-actor Eddie Griffin, who last appeared in 2023 feature film “All You Need is Blood,” announced another stand-up comedy tour that includes a show on Jan. 24 at MGM Northfield Park Center Stage. Fans of “The Simpsons” know Grand Funk Railroad as “The wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner. The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher. The competent drum work of Don Brewer.” These days the latter two are still going strong in the band known for ’70s hits “We’re an American Band,” “I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home),” “The Loco-motion,” “Shinin’ On” and “Some Kind of Wonderful.” The classic-rock act plays on March 1 at MGM Northfield Park Center Stage.
