AM Headlines: Patchy AM Fog Mild and Quiet Start to the Week Midweek Rain Winter Chill Late Week Mountain Snow Discussion: We’ll kick off the work week with patchy morning fog that will clear by mid-morning. High pressure will keep the forecast quiet for the day with highs reaching the low 70s under partly cloudy skies. A cold front will approach the region Tuesday. This will bring scattered showers by late morning to early afternoon. A second wave of heavier rain and a storm, or two arrives Wednesday as temps top out in the low 70s. Much colder air slides in Thursday. Gusty northwest winds will add to the chill with highs struggling to break out of the low to mid 50s and overnight lows to tumble into the mid 30s. This will also drive snow to pick up across the mountains with accumulations likely for the higher elevations and a few flakes to even reach some of the mountain valleys, before drier air arrives Friday.
