Woman airlifted after being shot in Chowchilla home

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A suspect is on the run after a shooting that left a woman to be airlifted to a hospital Saturday afternoon, the Madera County Sheriff's Office announced.
Deputies say they responded to a reported shooting in the area of Road 22 and Santa Fe Drive in Chowchilla.
Upon arrival, responding units say they found the victim, a woman, who was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition or extent of her injuries are unknown.
Investigators determined the shooting took place at a home in the area and served a search warrant at a residence in the 26000 block of Road 22. The suspect(s) involved is outstanding.
