VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Two people were arrested after a man was robbed in Visalia Saturday afternoon, the Visalia Police Department announced.
Police say just after 2:30 p.m. they responded to an armed robbery near Lowe's on South Mooney Boulevard.
Officers say the victim reported a man holding a firearm confronted him and stole his bicycle before fleeing.
Police say the suspects were quickly found nearby and arrested without incident. Investigators identified the weapon used as a painted flare gun.
Officers report the two suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators returned the stolen bicycle to its owner.
