TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Jake Paul - Mike Tyson fight got a lot of attention over the weekend. But what if we told you a local boxer isn't that far behind the YouTuber turned fighter. Topeka native John "Iron Man" Cantrell is ranked just behind Paul when it comes to U.S. Heavyweight rankings. 27 News got the opportunity to sit down with Cantrell to talk about his thoughts on the recent fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. An experience for fans unlike no other at K-State home football games "I don't know what anyone was thinking putting a 60-year-old man in the ring with a 27-year-old guy." Cantrell said. "You know, mike Tyson was my hero growing up. I watched him fight and I thought, 'man I wish I could do that someday' and I thought it was absolutely shameful to call out an old lion like that. There's no way he could've stood against him in his prime. What do you prove by beating a 60-year-old Mike Tyson?"  Cantrell also mentioned that he would like to fight Paul in Kansas City at T-Mobile Center, Arrowhead Stadium or even in a gym with no cameras.   For more local news, click here.
