ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Several residents and local organizations gathered in northeast Albuquerque this weekend to raise awareness about domestic violence. The "Stop the Violence, Break the Silence" gathering was hosted on San Mateo near Indian School on Sunday. Many people brought pictures of loved ones who were lost to domestic violence. It also allows them to reach the community and raise awareness in general. At the event, domestic violence victims were encouraged to talk to someone about their pain and seek help, instead of trying to deal with it in other ways.
