Nov 17, 2024
The Brown men’s basketball team (2-3) closed the College Hill Classic with a 89-70 win over Sacred Heart (1-5) on Sunday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
“It was good that we’re starting to establish more depth,” Head Men’s Basketball Coaching Chair Mike Martin ’04 said. “A lot of good from this game, there’s also a lot we can clean up. I wish we had last night back but we can’t, but the next best thing to do is to respond the way we did. It wasn’t perfect, there were spots I didn’t think we were great but we were good enough for most of the game to get a win against a team that played really well yesterday and presents a lot of problems.”
As a team, the Bears dished out 27 assists on 31 made field goals while shooting 15-32 from three-point range.
Through the first 20 minutes, there were a total of eight lead changes as Brown’s largest lead was eight points. The Bears outscored the Pioneers 18-14 in the paint.

As a team, Brown shot 16-28 from the floor and 10-20 from three-point range.
