Apparent fatal crash closes down I10 in East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- What appears to be a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian has shut down all lanes along Interstate 10 in East El Paso on Sunday night, Nov. 17.
El Paso Fire dispatch said a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. along Interstate 10 East at Zaragoza. Fire dispatch said at 11 p.m. that the scene remains active and under investigation.

Viewer video from the scene shows what appears to be a body in a sheet on the roadway.
Police confirmed that the crash involved a pedestrian and that its Special Traffic Investigations Unit is at the scene. They did not say how badly hurt the person was.
TxDOT says all lanes of traffic are closed along I-10 East at the Zaragoza exit. Thru-traffic needs to use the Lee Trevino Exit 30. Back-up is being reported as minor. Clearing time is until further notice.
