Railway Avenue opens in the Magic City, officials ask drivers to use caution
Nov 17, 2024
MINOT, ND (KXNET) — The Magic City's flood protection project still continues after two years. This has come with road closures and traffic slowdowns. But now, one part of the project is up and running -- Railway Avenue.
Officials say the road is now open, but there will still be ongoing work in the boulevards and along sidewalks. They say drivers should still use caution as workers continue to finish these projects.
The flood protection project has helped complete roadway improvements like Railway Avenue, along with a concrete flood wall, earthen embankment, and underground utilities.
The city plans to complete a storm water pump station next summer.
