MCKENZIE COUNTY, ND (KXNET) — Authorities in McKenzie County are warning of extremely slick road conditions along North Dakota Highway 23, where emergency workers helped break up glare ice on the road.
Glare ice was first reported this morning on the highway near Keene. This type of ice is known to be both smooth and glassy, which makes driving extremely dangerous.
Multiple sand trucks were in the area to help clear up the ice.
Authorities warn drivers to exercise extreme caution in this area as road conditions remain dangerous.
