VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Two people were hospitalized after being shot while sitting inside a vehicle Saturday night, Visalia police say. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. and had officers responding to a residential area of town in the 1700 block of North Encina Street. Officers say they arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.   They also found a vehicle nearby with multiple bullet holes. Investigators say while they were at the hospital with the injured man, a woman arrived with a gunshot wound as well. Police believe both victims were in the vehicle when the gunfire began. The investigation is still active and detectives are working to gather suspect information and description.
