CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Chicopee fire crews were called to two fires in different parts of the city Saturday night. According to Chicopee Fire, the first call came in late Saturday night for a fire on Grattan Street, where a ballast ignited the exterior sign of a local restaurant. The incident was contained to the exterior of the building, and no injuries were reported. Shortly after, crews were called to Kon Tiki Circle for a mobile home fire. Despite the dry conditions in the area, firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes. All occupants had safely evacuated the mobile home before emergency responders arrived.
