Carrot recall issued due to possible E. coli infection

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Food and Drug Administration released a warning for a recall on organic carrots that may be contaminated by E. coli.
The FDA said the outbreak has been linked to 39 illnesses and one death.
Grimmway Farms issued a recall on the following organic whole carrot and organic baby carrot products:
Organic whole carrots, which do not have a best-if-used-by date printed on the bag, but were available for purchase at retail stores from Aug. 14 through Oct. 23;
Organic baby carrots with best-if-used-by-dates ranging from Sept. 11 through Nov. 12, 2024.
The carrots have the following label brands: 365, Bunny-Luv, Cal Organic, Compliments, Full Circle, Good and Gather, Greenwise, Marketside, Nature’s Promise, O-Organics, President’s Choice, Raley’s, Simple Truth, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, and Wholesome Pantry.
