Brush, building fire under investigation in NK

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- A brush and building fire is under investigation by the North Kingstown Fire Department.
According to Battalion Chief William Maccarone, they received multiple calls just before 10 a.m. for a report of a brush fire at the rear of the Travel Inn on Post Road.
When they arrived, crews found that the fire was spreading to the building.
There was also damage to two of the units inside of the inn, in addition to the outside of the building.
One resided was treated a the scene for minor injuries. No firefighters were injured.
Maccarone said that with the dry conditions, the danger for brush fires are extremely high, and with the leaves on the ground and windy, fire can spread quite quickly.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
