“I think the community just helps that spirit get together and I think right now we need that unity as a community and Appleton does that so great.” Uncanny Bizarre owner Leah Reed mentioned, “And again supporting local artists and businesses but also supporting families and people.”
Attendee, June Johnson, was there to get into the holiday cheer as well as to support local small businesses.
“It's just a great time to come out and enjoy the community. Appleton puts on the greatest downtown events ever; they really do and support local businesses as well.” Johnson said.
For many vendors at the market last night, it was a great opportunity for business exposure. Especially for business owners like Peggy Sonnenburg, who owns a new business called Peggy Bakes.
“I just started the business this April, so you know it's been a short time.” Peggy said, “I've been doing a lot of markets around the state and launched a website, and this is just a great market that draws so many people.”

A diverse lineup of vendors and activities within the holiday edition of the Light the Night Market kickstarted the season in a festive way.
The Light the Night Market was supported by several community sponsors and organized by ADI, a non-profit dedicated to promoting Downtown Appleton’s vibrancy.
