We finally enjoyed a little bit of sunshine earlier today after so many cloudy November days! We hope you were able to enjoy some of the elusive rays! You can look for mostly cloudy skies to be in place this evening into tonight, with still the slight chance for a passing rain shower. Temperatures tonight will drop down into the mid-40s. A warm front will lift northward through the area on Monday. We'll start the day off dry, with some sunshine peeking through the clouds. By the afternoon though, rain showers will move in around 3 PM and last until 8 PM. Grab the umbrella if you have plans after your workday is over. Another wave of rain will move through then late Monday night into early Tuesday morning. Temperatures will only fall into the mid-50s Monday night and winds will also increase; we could see gusts as high as around 30 mph. By later Tuesday morning into the afternoon, we'll be left with mostly cloudy skies and just a slight rain chance. Highs Tuesday will then soar into the mid-to-upper 60s as winds become southwesterly! When all is said and done from both these rounds of rainfall, we'll see generally around a half an inch of rain, with the potential for locally higher amounts. We will take as much rain that we can get to help quell these drought concerns across the area. We're hopeful that some notable changes can be made to the next Drought Monitor release, which has data finalized on Tuesday, and released on Thursday. No changes in severe drought for our area this week Wednesday brings a stark difference in our weather pattern though, as much colder air moves in. We'll see a few showers as this occurs before a stalled out area of low pressure sets up shop Wednesday night into Friday. It will be cold and windy, with occasional rain/snow showers! Uncertainty remains quite high on the positioning of this system though, so as we near mid-week, we'll continue to keep you updated with the latest. Get ready for the coldest air of the season and for it to feel more like early winter outside!
