Denton Mateychuk scored 19 seconds into overtime, and the Monsters won their fifth game in a row, 4-3, at Providence on Nov. 17.
The Monsters ( 8-4-0-1) trailed, 3-1, entering the third period. Trey Fix-Wolansky scored his sixth goal of the season to make a 3-2 game. Then, with 33 seconds remaining in regulation, Rocco Grimaldi scored his second goal of the game to tie it and force overtime.
Grimaldi finished with two goals and two assists. Fix-Wolansky and Mateychuk each had one goal and one assist.
Jet Greaves saved 18 of the 21 shots he faced for the Monsters.
Cleveland is off until Nov. 23, when it welcomes Milwaukee to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for the first of two games in two days.
