Business People: Thrivent chief Terry Rasmussen to lead H.B. Fuller board

H.B. Fuller, a Vadnais Heights-based maker of glues, coatings and sealants for industry and consumers, announced that Teresa (Terry) J. Rasmussen has been appointed chair of the company’s board of directors, following the retirement of Lee R. Mitau, effective Jan. 22. Rasmussen is president and chief executive officer of Thrivent, a Minneapolis-based financial services company.

The Itasca Project, a Minneapolis-based consortium of Minnesota business and philanthropic leaders, announced that Steve Grove, CEO and publisher of the Minnesota Star Tribune newspaper, will become its chair effective in January. Grove, who serves on Itasca’s executive leadership council, will succeed John Naylor, recently retired president and CEO of Medica. The Itasca Project is a part of Greater MSP, a St. Paul-based economic development partnership for the 15-county Twin Cities region.
