Prayer vigil held for 25yearold mother shot, killed in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A prayer vigil was held in Chesterfield County on Saturday to honor the life of a 25-year-old woman who died after she was shot multiple times at her home.
At 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, a prayer vigil was held at an apartment complex located on Nottinghill Drive in Chesterfield County to remember the life of 25-year-old Dominique Fields who died after she was shot multiple times at her home.
According to police, just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to a home in the 5800 block of Nottinghill Drive for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Fields with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where she later died.
Police said investigators later obtained warrants for Fields' boyfriend, 31-year-old Quadry Campbell, in connection to her death and he was arrested on Friday, Nov. 8. He was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Community activist Charles Willis spoke at the vigil and described Fields as an amazing mother who was funny but very serious.
"I was told that she loved her kids and she loved family, and would do anything for any one of you all," Willis said at the vigil.
