BRANDON, S.D. (KELO) -- Huset's Speedway hasn't hosted a race since Labor Day weekend, but was well-represented over the weekend at the World of Outlaws World Finals.
With Huset's Speedway painted on the wing of his sprint car, David Gravel made history at the World of Outlaws World Finals.
"Just feels accomplishing, not even really excited, just more of a relief that we finally did it," World of Outlaws points champion David Gravel said.
Gravel earned his 15th win of the season during the four-day event in North Carolina, securing his first World of Outlaws points championship.
"The last eight or so years we've been fairly close, but this year we definitely put our stamp down and I was able to lead a lot of the season and polish it off there at the end," Gravel said.
The victory for Big Game Motorsports also marks Tod Quiring's first title as a car owner.
"There's actually less car owners that have won the World of Outlaws championship than there are drivers, so it's an even more elite list to be a car owner and win a World of Outlaw championship," Gravel said.

"It's great for Tod. He's put a lot of work and money into the sport and glad to see him finally get that return," Huset's Speedway General Manager Doug Johnson said.
Johnson says it's important for Big Game Motorsports to hang on to talent like David Gravel, and keep the sport going strong into 2025.
"The money that's involved in sprint car racing right now, I think you're going to see more and more guys make a career out of sprint car racing because they can do very well and be successful at it," Johnson said.
As for the future, Gravel says he has no current plans to take another shot at NASCAR.
"Where I'm at in my career, it's really hard to do anything part-time. I feel like you have to be fully committed to that style of racing and nobody's called me yet, so I'm going to be a sprint car driver, I'm happy with what I'm doing, and yeah, I mean if Roger Penske called I can't say no but," Gravel said. "I'm very fortunate to make a great living driving a sprint car," Gravel added.
The World of Outlaws will make multiple appearances at Huset's Speedway in 2025.
