Three deputies, woman hospitalized after Millington house fire

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Three deputies and a woman were taken to the hospital after a house fire in Millington early Sunday morning, the Shelby County Sheriff's County announced.
Around 1:25 a.m., deputies responded to a house fire in the 5700 block of Port Haven Drive near Millington.
When they arrived at the scene, they were informed that a bedridden woman was still inside the home and unable to escape. Deputies arrived before the Fire Department, and with the woman still inside, three deputies quickly entered the smoke-filled house to search for her.
Second man arrested in connection to stereo store burglary
They found the woman and carried her out of the home safely.
While inside, both the woman and the deputies suffered from smoke inhalation. The women and deputies were transported by ambulance to Methodist North Hospital in non-critical condition. The deputies were treated and released from the hospital.
Shelby County Fire arrived and quickly extinguished the fire in the kitchen before the fire could spread to the rest of the house.
