IMPD: Hitandrun on near NW side leaves person critical

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a hit-and-run left a person in critical condition on the near northwest side Sunday morning.
Per the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called around 7:51 a.m. to the 2600 block of West Kessler Boulevard North Drive on the report of a crash. Upon arrival, IMPD said they found a victim with injuries consistent with trauma who had been struck by a vehicle.
That victim was then transported to an area hospital in critical condition, according to IMPD.
IMPD then stated the vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stay on scene. Officers are continuing to investigate and a suspect has not been named at this time.
