Las Cruces HS volleyball wins state title, finishes perfect

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The Las Cruces High School girls volleyball team finished a perfect season in a perfect way.
The Bulldawgs beat La Cueva 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-11) to win its second straight 5A state championship on Saturday night, Nov. 16 in Rio Rancho.
Las Cruces High finished its season with a perfect 27-0 record.
Las Cruces beat Albuquerque High, Los Lunas and Cleveland en route to the championship match in the state playoffs.
The Bulldawgs lost just four out of 85 sets played this season, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
Las Cruces High volleyball has now won seven state championships in program history (1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2023 and 2024), according to the New Mexico Activities Association.
