A Harry Potter prop sold for a record amount at auction. The Marauder’s Map sold for $299,250 at Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on Thursday. That sets a new record for the most expensive prop from the Harry Potter movies sold at auction. This iconic map was owned by David Holmes, Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double in the Harry Potter films. Holmes sustained a severe injury while making one of the movies. He’s now paralyzed. The proceeds will go toward his mobility equipment and personal care.
