The first round of the HHSAA football playoffs concluded on Saturday with a slate of games across the islands.
In the Division I first round, Leilehua defeated Lahainaluna 40-13 on the road to advance to face No. 1 seed Konawaena on Nov. 22. In the other first round matchup, Kapa'a handled Kailua 38-12 to set up a game against Damien on Nov. 22 at Farrington.

In the Division II first round, Roosevelt edged Kamehameha-Hawaii 13-7 to set up a semifinal matchup against Kamehameha-Maui on Nov. 23. In the second DII game of the day, Kaiser shut out Pac-Five 30-0 to advance to face Kauai, also on Nov. 23.
The HHSAA Open Division semifinals took place on Friday night, with Kahuku and Saint Louis advancing to face each other on Nov. 29 at UH-Manoa's Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
