The remains of a body and two pets were discovered by San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters at the scene of a trailer fire in Ramona.
Sheriff’s deputies and Cal Fire responded to the blaze at the rural home Saturday evening near Cinnamon Rock Road and Starlight Mountain Road.
After extinguishing the fire that completely burned the residential trailer, firefighters discovered the remains of a person and what appeared to be two dogs, officials said. The victim has not been identified.
Detectives from the sheriff’s department’s bomb and arson unit and homicide team are investigating the incident.
