ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – RocMaidan celebrated its 10th anniversary with a fundraising gala Saturday evening in Rochester at the Harro East Ballroom. The gala included three hours of open bar, dinner, a formal program, musical performances and a silent auction. News 8's Adam Chodak emceed the event. Nickole Riedl Sleight played the bandura during the cocktail reception. Special guests included Ukrainian veterans of the current war. Serhii Plokhii, a professor of Ukrainian history at Harvard University, where he also serves as the director of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, was the keynote speaker. RocMaidan's journey over the past decade has been marked by many achievements and milestones, including its commitment to providing humanitarian and medical aid to Ukraine.
