Motorcyclist injured, passenger paralyzed in San Diego stunt accident

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A motorcyclist was injured and his passenger was left paralyzed after a motorcycle stunt went wrong.
San Diego Police officers and paramedics responded to calls for a motorcycle accident in the 8800 block of Kenamar Drive in Miramar at 11:03 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, a 22-year-old man was driving a Suzuki motorcycle west on Kenamar Drive with a 34-year-old female passenger, when they both fell off the back during an attempted wheelie.
Both the man and woman were taken to the hospital.
Man killed in deputy-involved shooting
Police say the driver injured his foot during the incident. The passenger on the back of the motorcycle was paralyzed below the mid-back due to a fractured vertebrae.
The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating.
