Springfield Symphony Orchestra brings Latin classical music to the hall

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Symphony Orchestra debut their second show of the season, "Echoes of The Americas." Saturday evening's performance kicked off with Conductor Guillermo Figueroa playing the violin. Echoes of The Americas also joined by Miguel del Aguila on the piano, bringing the first-ever classically themed concert of Latino music done by the SSO. Earlier this year the Springfield Symphony Orchestra kicked off its 81st season. "It's incredible, there is unbelievable global talent that is so happy to come to Springfield, Massachusetts to play with this wonderful orchestra," shared Paul Lambert, President & CEO, Springfield Symphony Orchestra. The season runs though May with seven shows remaining. Next up on December 14th, "Heralding The Holidays" an annual concert celebrating the variety of music throughout this time of year. In the new year you can look forward to melodies and rhythms that lift everyday spirit in the upcoming 'Gershwin Berlin & Friends' concert. Emotional performances like "Harmony of Love" will also be held Valentine's Day weekend.
